Q. What does it cost for me to talk to an attorney?
A. Our firm will handle your case on a contingency basis. When we secure a settlement on your case, our fee will be paid out of the settlement amount. You pay nothing up front.
Q. What is uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage?
A. This is insurance you can add to your policy to cover you for personal injuries in the event the person who hits you has no insurance or not enough insurance. This coverage protects you and we strongly recommend you have it.
Q. What is Med-Pay?
A. Med-Pay is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend that you carry Med-Pay insurance. This insurance is additional coverage that pays the 20 percent of medical expenses not covered by PIP.
Q. Can i go to any doctor i want for treatment from my car crash?
A. Yes, you’re allowed to choose your own doctor.
Q. I’ve paid for prescriptions out of my own pocket. Can i get reimbursed for those?
A. Yes, save all your receipts and they can be submitted for reimbursement.
Q. if the crash is not my fault, do i have to contact my insurance company?
A. Yes, in the State of Florida everyone is required to carry Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance. Regardless of who is at fault, your insurance company will pay the first $10,000 in medical expenses.
